The Optimistic American host Paul Johnson on empowering the individual with critical positivity

In a world where marketers and politicians rush to extremes to sway you to their point of view, there is actually a lot of positivity to see out there! This is the message the host of The Optimistic American podcast, Paul Johnson, shares today with our Relentlessly Resilient hosts. As a successful businessman, author, and even former Phoenix mayor, he has experienced for himself the power of “critical positivity.” Calling from lessons in science, history, and literary legend Viktor Frankl; Paul illustrates how we can ignore the ‘fear-mongering” rhetoric of victim mindsets, powerlessness, and ‘othering’ in order to work together as a society. On his podcast, he invites others to “join the movement that is changing the narrative and reclaiming a sense of hope and agency, through powerful interviews and inspiring stories.” He shares his story and lessons on empowering the individual with positivity, not fear.
